Most couples book their wedding photographer 9–18 months before their wedding, particularly for popular spring and fall dates. But there's no hard-and-fast rule! If your wedding is coming up sooner, don't hesitate to reach out. I may still have your date available.

Absolutely! I think it's important that you feel comfortable with the person who will be spending so much time with you on your wedding day. I'm happy to schedule a phone or video conversation to answer your questions, talk through your plans, and get to know each other.

Absolutely! Every wedding is different, and the right amount of coverage depends on your schedule, priorities, and plans. I'll help you think through the important moments so you can create a package that makes sense for your celebration.

Absolutely! An engagement session is a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know each other before the wedding. You'll get comfortable in front of my camera, learn a little about how I work, and have beautiful photographs of the two of you in a more relaxed setting. I think it makes everyone more comfortable on the wedding day, and that's why I include it free as part of every full wedding day package.

Yes! Travel within 50 miles is included. Further away is quoted per trip, and includes mileage or airfare, hotel accommodations, and a per-diem fee. All fees will be outlined in your contract, so there are no surprises.

You will get a sneak peek within a few days and your full gallery in 1-3 weeks.

First of all, almost everyone tells me this! You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I'll give you as much or as little direction as you need, creating natural interactions rather than forcing stiff, uncomfortable poses. My goal is to capture the real you.

Happily! A thoughtful timeline makes a huge difference in how relaxed your wedding day feels. I'll work with you (and your planner, if you have one) to make sure there's enough time for the photographs that matter most, without making you feel rushed or taking you away from your celebration longer than necessary.

There's no right or wrong answer! A first look can be a wonderful way to share a quiet moment together before the ceremony, and it often gives us more flexibility for portraits. But if you've always dreamed of seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony, that's beautiful too. I'll help you understand how either choice affects your photography timeline so you can decide what's right for you.

I work from a shot list so we don't forget anything. About a month before the wedding you'll get a questionnaire where you can create the list of groups you want. 

For family groupings and any special photographs that are particularly meaningful to you, absolutely! But you don't need to give me a list of every traditional wedding photograph. After hundreds of weddings, I know the important moments to look for. I'd much rather you tell me about the people, relationships, and details that matter most to you, so I can focus on capturing your day naturally.

Whether it's weather, delays, or unexpected events, I promise I've seen it before. I'm great at adapting to what's going on. I'll look for creative alternatives, alternate locations, and adjust priorities, and work with other vendors to keep things moving smoothly and generate amazing images in any situation.
